Experience Capoeira in Las Cruces, New Mexico
Welcome to the digital home for Capoeira Quinto Sol De Las Cruces. Quinto Sol was founded here in Las Cruces by Profesor Animal, and now includes seperate schools in El Paso, Juarez, and Phoenix. We are a proud part of the United Capoeira Association, founded by Mestre Acordeon a great pioneer of capoeira in the US.
Practices, and Batizado are held on the NMSU campus in the beautiful high-desert southwest of Las Cruces, New Mexico. Other events are held at NMSU as well as throughout the community. We perform at various events and if you are interested in our group being part of a performance, send us an e-mail with the details a few months in advance.
If you are interested in experiencing capoeira with us let us know, and we would be happy to help you discover capoeira for yourself. If you have been part of another group in the past, we would like to take part in your continuation of being a capoeirista.
